Salon 56

Alright ladies and gents I got a job at Salon 56 in Clearfield, on 1000 and Antelope. I start Friday at 9. I would love if you stopped by for a wash and style or a hair cut they are on sale all summer for 8.95. Come visit me :)

Ok I lied...sort of...

Ok so there was a HUGE mix up last week and somewhere there was a mistake made and they didn't actually schedule me to take the test SOOOOOOOOOOO I am taking the test tomorrow morning....and I am still nervous over it. So this means I get to drive in again and try...again...So wish me luck...

Pratical Class

Well the past three days I was in pratical class which is where they teach us what the State expects from us when we go to take our state boards. So I am really anxious cause it means that means I am basically done and growing up even more!!! AHHHH I don't like growing up it is super intense. Soooo the client I had today was super sweet and cute!!! I have to say I was a master at up selling for once she bought two bottles of pure, one bottle of fixation, and a straightener and that was giraffe print my favorite!!!!! We did a root touch up and a round cut with round layers and it looked so good on her!! I also taught her how to curl her hair with a straightener and how to do a twist with her bangs so that she has something to do when they start to bother her :). Her daughter that came with her was so shy!!! With her we talked about blonding shampoo and bronzing shampoo if she wasn't too sure about coloring her hair completely yet which is ok she is only 13. With her natural hair color she could go any way I think she will love her hair either way she goes she just needs to decide :). Well I need to head to bed my back is killing me it has been way too long a day!!! I will post more another time.

School...school...school...

So I have at least four months left and I start Practical Class tomorrow. This will help me get ready to take the state boards to get my license. I need to post more nails and I need to remember to take pictures of hair cuts and colors that I do I never remember till they walk out the door!! One day I will remember before and after pictures so that I can show off those as well as the full sets that I do. I am excited and nervous for the state boards I have heard so many different stories about them so I am kinda terrified lol. I am just ready to get going with my career!! Well I will post more pictures soon I promise!!
